Made in 2020
An experiment on trying to merge sci-fi with a hand-painted style. Utilizing a B&W texture method that almost felt like an Ambient Occlusion texture, I was able to generate other maps from my texture (such as normals). In 2020 I learned how to use the mod tools for Battlefront 2 and successfully ported this and my Nod Soldier into the game, and was kind of surprised to the quality despite not having a high resolution mesh for normals. I created this concept when visiting my dad at his last round of chemo in 2019. Unfortunately he lost his battle to cancer in 2021. This has turned into a very special project for me, and is completely dedicated to my dad.
